The Joy of Naptime!

At his young age, in the wild they would be napping in their mother’s pouch, they would be snuggled in hearing her heartbeat, so we make due with soft cloth pouches, we let them cuddle with us when they want to and we most certainly let them cuddle together. So much love, so much comfort.

Often while Maxie slept, Indie would keep vigil. She was his protector. She LOVED him soooo much!! And what better time could there be to give him a good grooming than when he was trying to enjoy that midmorning nap!

Maxie loved “closing the blinds” so to speak. While the wild kangaroos were off in the bush napping under trees, he would be lounging in his pouch and he quickly learned how to grab the fabric and pull it over his head to shut out the world and sleep for hours in the middle of the day.

Maxie desperately wanted to box, even when he was just 10 months old he was eager to practice boxing techniques. I’ll do a seperate post about his boxing journey.
