So much LOVE!
When they were little, I grew accustomed to Max and Indie lounging around our veranda on their beds during the day an night. Of course they did a little exploring, but typically they waited for me to walk into the bushland that lines our property. That first time though . . . that first time that they followed the mob into the bush and didn’t return until the sun started to set. That was a big day.
We waited around in the late afternoon, so eager for them to return home safely. The video above was that moment.
That little chirp you hear in the video is Indie calling out to me as she races across the grass. Happy tears. I was such a proud mumma that day!
I have experienced the most beautiful love from the kangaroos I have raised, but there is nothing as heartwarming as watching mothers and babies out in the wild cuddling each other.
I have so many photos and videos of kangaroo mums hugging their babies, but this is one of my favourites because this is Indie, all grown up, hugging her very own little bub: Charlie.
